Because life happened.
As I was working on Tales from the King's Court, my dad was diagnosed with cancer, and things went to shit fast. About 18 days after I released the album, he passed away. It was not a pleasant process either. Most of Maegi 2, I recorded under extreme stress and pain.
Then, I found myself pulled more into my writing. It was fresh. It helped me move away from things.
Then my wife and I moved to Canada, started a new life, and lived through hell and back for five years until we could find our footing financially.
So, making music was not a priority for me. First, you need to eat.
Slow Motion Suicide is a special album; it reflects the last 10 years of my life. I am beyond those songs now as well, as time moved on, but I am happy with what is coming.
